Doctor says take this, take that but still no DEFINITE answers to my back pain.

I don't like taking prescription drugs especially if its only to alleviate pain and not fix the problem. Over the last month my doctor has prescribed me everything from pain killers to muscle relaxers to steroids. But still no fix or answer to whats going on!?

Today I will be trying some alternative medicine to try and figure out a permanent resolution to my 10yr/once a year back problem. I will be trying acupuncture and to be honest a little anxious. I've heard many good things about it and figured why not?

Football is here already!?.

I think I like college better? I wish there were playoffs like march madness in basketball. Doing a bracket in college football would be GNARLY MAN!

Utah xterra, no go!

What a crazy week out in Utah.
1. broken bike fork=running around to try and fix
2. squeezing in training @ altitude without completely ignoring everyone
2. Emily's best friend had to get both her kidneys removed
3. My brother in-laws uncle died
4. My grandfather died
5. scrambling to find a flight home for an extra stupid $400!
6. no utah xterra :(

While out in utah:
I flew in friday night and was reunited with my wife Emily and enjoyed some good time and mex food. Sat. decided to put my bike together and get ready for some riding, or not?! My fork wasn't compressing so I took it down to an awesome place called timpanogas cycle which had the best service around and in a days time a tech took a look @ my fork, took it apart and diagnosed its illness with a blown ring/seal (about 4hrs of work, same day day squeeze me in service for only $38!). Bottom line was that fork wasn't racing so my back up plan was taken off of Emily's bike and consisted of her minute fork on my bike. My bike appeared to work but not nearly as close to its top performance. It was like putting cheap brakes on a Ferrari. The guys at the local bike shop told be to test ride the bike over @ alpine loop up by sundance. It was one of the most beautiful rides i've done.

Re-united yes! Ready to race, not close!

??? ???
Ogden, Utah
Good scenario:
I'm looking forward to seeing my wife as I jetbluit to Utah Friday night. Will bring back old memories of our long distance relationship when Emily would great me with milk and cookies.
Bad scenario:
Had to take 2 full weeks off of training which resulted in doing absolutely NOTHING! I mean NOTHING, I'm an old fart and really couldn't do squat and my lattissimus dorsi can bite me! I don't know if I should do the race or not especially @ elevation since my endurance has dropped, my back is tender and the results will be depressing.

Since the beginning of summer I had my mind set on doing this race. I tried my first xterra championship race in Richmond why not try another while going out to visit family. I love being out in Utah and having an Xterra out there makes it even more exciting. Will be happy regardless of my decision but plan to pack to race

Where's Emily Moseley? OH YEAH SHE IS IN LOVELY COLORADO!

We are pals. I look crazy. My back is still not 100%. I don't think I can race. Zeke thinks I'm an ass. Whats next?
