One of the best ski days, not so much the conditions but with whom.

Skiing with Dean Cummings was awesome, period. 100% genuine fellow. It was great to learn some back country protocol. He showed me somewhat "hidden" snowbird terrain that still had some fresh snow 2 days after a dump. I think I learned the most from just watching him ski. To explain his technique would probably involve such words as fluid, smooth, aggressive, charged and butter.

Just a few random things about our Holiday drive.

We made it to Utah and back. Weather was bad going out sunny comin in. Total miles, including while we were in Utah, was roughly 5000+ put on the new subaru. Unfortunately we didn't take close to enough pictures to really show all the fun adventures, food we ate and places slept ($15/night at the motel 6's). Our choice of motels made Em-n-I feel dirty but it was what we incorporated into our budget and had to stick to it. These places were dog-friendly and can see why. I would've taken my tent and sleeping bag 10xover the motel 6, if weather permitted!

On the road I see why so many truck drivers don't have six packs. Highway stops consisting of gas and fried chicken seem to make a perfect combo to push 3 more hours out. We tried to eat as healthy and as inexpensive as possible but the resources were limited.
Emily's healthy food of choice on the trip:
Wendy's taco salad (which wasn't half bad)
Emily unhealthy food of choice:
biscuits-n-gravy from cracker barrel.
Dave's healthy food of choice on the trip:
Truck stop bananas and V8's
Dave's unhealthy food of choice:
Arby's curly fries, fries and more fries!
It was really a treat to eat a home cooked meal once in Utah and then again in CT.

Will post the few lame pics we have once I get a chance.
